GROWING UP
I grew up in Mexico City eating tacos in countless taquerias where I fell in love with Suadero and Al Pastor. I vividly remember the delicious fire grilled Carne Asada, Pollo Asado and Chorizo that were a must have at almost every family gathering. My teenage and college years were in SLC, UT. Where I enjoyed Famous Dave’s and Dickies BBQ. From a young age I have seeked out grilled and smoked meats.
FRANKLIN BBQ
Seven years ago I traveled to Austin Texas for work. I had some free time before and decided to experience the internet sensation - Franklin BBQ! I waited in line for hours and as cheesy at it sounds, that first bite of brisket changed my life. I came home and bought my first Green Mountain smoker and five years later I got my first offset smoker.
PASSION FOR BBQ
Since that day I have tried to make brisket and BBQ just as I experienced it that first time at Franklin BBQ. I have watched countless hours of BBQ YouTube videos then going to the smoker and practicing over and over again. At times it was fun, other times it was really hard and at times it was discouraging. But my passion for tacos and BBQ continues to burn in my heart and I want to make the best BBQ that I can.

My passion for tacos and BBQ has taken me to some of the best BBQ joints and Taquerias where I have met world renowned pitmasters and taqueros. I love traveling to Texas and Mexico City where the love for tacos and BBQ is literally felt in the air. I want all my family and friends to experience my passion in every bite.
